Questions salons ask us

Is the free plan really free, or is it a trial?

Really free. No card to enter and no date it stops working. It covers one salon, 3 stylists, 30 services and 50 reminder messages a month. Plenty of salons will never need more than that, and that is fine with us.

What happens when the free messages run out?

Bookings, your calendar and your booking page all carry on exactly as before — only the automatic reminders wait for next month. If you would rather not wait, Rs 500 buys 500 more, or the paid plan comes with 1,000 a month.

Do my customers pay online?

No. Customers book free and pay you at the salon, exactly as they do now. The only thing you pay for is the software.

Do I need a computer?

No. Setting up, changing prices, seeing your day, adding a walk-in — all of it works on your phone.

What if a customer still phones instead?

Nothing breaks. Add the booking yourself in a few taps, and the slot closes on your booking page straight away.

Can I change my prices later?

Any time, as often as you like. The booking page updates immediately.

Who sees my customer list?

Only you. Each salon's bookings, customers and numbers are kept separate from every other salon on Open Book.

How do I pay you?

By card or bank wallet through PayHere, in rupees. No foreign cards, no dollar billing.

What if I need help?

Our support team answers on WhatsApp, in Sinhala, Tamil and English.

What happens if I stop paying?

You drop back to the free plan. Your booking page stays up, your customers and your history stay exactly where they are — anything past the free plan's limits is switched off rather than deleted, so a fourth stylist waits until you upgrade again instead of disappearing.
